1. MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
In a bid to help members reach their goals and achieve desired dreams, UCTAAA runs a Mentorship Program where we assist intended mentees to identify and facilitate placements with experienced practitioners in their chosen fields, with a view to learning faster and gaining first-hand experience.
The Mentorship Program is not limited to just Theatre and Film Making, but other areas of endeavor including ICT, Fashion, Leadership Training, and Corporate Governance, among others!
2. EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT SCHEME [ESS]
UCTAAA’s Educational Support Scheme [ESS] seeks to encourage, support, sponsor or subsidize, as the case may be, the higher or further academic pursuits or aspirations [whether at Masters or Doctorate Degree levels] of members in Universities, both within and outside Nigeria!
3. H.M.O. SCHEME
UCTAAA’s HMO Scheme provides Members with robust Insurance coverage and the invaluable opportunity to access first-class medical and healthcare services for an annual fee.
The HMO’s overriding advantage is that in the event of a medical emergency, and depending on the signed-on package, the Insurance company underwrites the medical bills, which otherwise the beneficiary would have borne. It is also instructive to note that not only do members enjoy these benefits, but the same is equally extended to their relations and dependants.
4. LIFE INSURANCE SCHEME [LIS]
In today’s world of uncertainty, nothing can take the place of a reliable cover in the event of death. So UCTAAA’S Life Insurance Scheme [LIS], helps facilitate a contract between an Insurer and a Policy Owner that guarantees the Insurance pays a sum of money to named Beneficiaries when the Insurer dies in exchange for premiums paid!
5. STRATEGIC SUPPORT INITIATIVE
[SSi]
Also known as Helping Hands, this is a Specialized Intervention Program designed to meet certain critical needs of members:
1.The Empowerment Scheme: To aid or support those with standout ideas towards realizing such dreams. Influenced largely by the ancient Chinese maxim to “give a child a fish and you feed him for that day; but teach him/her how to fish, and you have fed him for the rest of his life,” the Empowerment Scheme is therefore not necessarily a free lunch, but a means towards empowering people to fish!
2.Compassionate Interventions: As the name implies, these are outreaches to those in dire straits – like debilitating ailments, bereavements or any other kind of loss or challenge, for that matter. Such interventions are also extended to members of the larger society – who are not necessarily members of UCTAAA, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility [CSR] Initiatives. The essence is to reach out, give back, put a smile on such people’s faces and give them hope!
6. THE REUNION
THE LEGACY PROJECT!
A major highlight of The Reunion is unveiling The Legacy Project – a kind of reaching out and giving back to the Host Community.
Every Reunion has its own peculiar Legacy Project. Nevertheless, such a project is usually one that would be of huge significance to the particular community and would not only be a memorial or lasting reminder of The Reunion, but also serves as a token of appreciation for being such worthy and generous hosts!
The Legacy Project therefore is simply our own little way of telling our host community: thank you!
